Once you have purchased the home insurance policy, the insurer will provide you with an original copy of the policy. The policy will be sent to your mailing address in 1 month. If the policy did not arrive at your house in 30 days, you should give the insurance company a call. The insurance policy and other important paperwork must be kept in a safe place. Examples of important insurance documents that you should keep in a safe place include correspondence, receipts, submitted claims and etc. You must be familiar with the name of the insurance company so that you won’t have any problem when filing a claim.
